Communication in a COVID-19 World: New Virtual Hearing Services

In response to the pandemic, Baycrest’s Audiology Department has launched tele-audiology, a virtual service that helps patients along their audiology journey, from initial detection of hearing challenges to audiology rehabilitation. Learn more about tele-audiology and the importance of accessing remote hearing services for older adults with hearing loss.

Akram Keymanesh, Audiologist
Akram Keymanesh is a clinical audiologist for Baycrest Health Sciences. She obtained her master’s degree in Hearing Sciences from Western University in 2011 and her clinical doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University in 2014. She joined Baycrest in 2010, where she has been working in both research and clinical settings. Her specialty is working with older adults with hearing loss and cognitive impairments. She has been recently focusing on the new tele-audiology service for older adults.
