Dear Baycrest Foundation supporter,

The Baycrest Foundation is committed to our work with you as we navigate the rapidly changing landscape of COVID-19 together. The health and safety of our community is of paramount priority. We are here for our patients and residents, and supporting their needs and ensuring their well-being is our primary focus at this time.

Baycrest is in constant contact with infection prevention and control colleagues and leading health authorities to coordinate organization-wide preparedness activities in response to this public health situation. Baycrest’s website and COVID-19 information section are resources you can use to help answer your questions or get the latest information about what we are doing to protect our community.

We are working closely with the Baycrest Centre to identify their ongoing and emerging needs during these unprecedented times and ensuring your donations are getting where they are most needed. We are here, with your support, to help.

I also want to update you on recent decisions and developments at the Baycrest Foundation to safeguard the health and safety of you, our valued community of donors, as well as everyone at Baycrest.

Based on recommendations by public health authorities, we are implementing “social distancing” to help combat the spread of COVID-19. “Social distancing” is a recommended method to limit community transmission by restricting group events in closed spaces. With this in mind, the following measures are now in effect at the Baycrest Foundation:
  • All meetings between Baycrest Foundation staff and their clients, vendors and donors are being rescheduled as conference or videoconference calls.
  • All Baycrest Foundation events scheduled between now until April 25, 2020, are postponed. We will re-examine this decision on or before April 25, 2020 based on official guidance from health authorities as they evolve.

Our actions are guided by the need to continue our important fundraising work while also supporting and protecting our vulnerable population of older adults. We are committed to keeping in touch with you and sharing important and timely information. In the meantime please visit baycrest.org for all of the current updates.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and ongoing support and dedication to the Baycrest Foundation as we navigate the evolving landscape of COVID-19.

All the best,
