Every 3 seconds, someone in the world is diagnosed with dementia.

Dementia is a tragic condition in which people progressively lose their cognitive abilities. They become more dependent on others. They suffer a significantly diminished quality of life. They no longer recognize the people they love.

We envision a different world, where every older adult lives a life of dignity, purpose, and fulfilment. A world where dementia is defeated.

And the interdisciplinary and innovative research at Baycrest’s Rotman Research Institute (RRI) is leading the way there.

We will defeat dementia, but only through philanthropy and the coordinated and determined efforts of many – including RRI scientists and trainees, and generous donors like you.

Please help by supporting aging and brain health research. Together, we can vastly improve the prevention, early detection, treatment, and care of those at risk for and living with age-related cognitive decline and dementia, and their caregivers.
